urban. vibrant. coveted.

If you want to live steps from some of the city’s most highly rated restaurants, bars, and boutiques, with plentiful options for health and fitness, then Boise-Eliot is the place to be. This neighborhood was once described as a place where “everyone is busy doing something interesting.” Boise-Eliot is just minutes from downtown, and embodies the creative and entrepreneurial energy associated with the City of Portland. Carbon12 sits in the heart of this bustling neighborhood on N. Williams Avenue — Portland’s most well-traveled bike corridor — and right across the street from New Seasons. Welcome!

A wealth of incredible food choices are easily within walking distance from Carbon12. From award-winning cuisine to delicate bowls of ramen to mouth watering street cart food, you could pass a whole day wandering the neighborhood, discovering endless tasty treats. With trendy destinations like Eem, Quaintrelle, Por Que No, Grand Central Bakery and Smallwares, some of Portland’s best food is right outside your door.

The shops along the N. Williams and N. Mississippi corridors have a little something for everyone. Whether you are looking for the perfect gift for a friend or a knock-out outfit for yourself, you will find it in many of the chic shops owned and operated by locals. Wander into a perfectly curated home design store and then explore the best taste in vintage style. Pick up a beautiful terrarium or bespoke designer eye glass frames just steps from home.

From working out to getting your nails done, there is a full spectrum of premium self care options within easy walking distance. For exercise, StarCycle, barre3, and Yoga Shala will get your body moving. For grooming, Cloak & Dagger was voted “Best Barbershop in Portland” and Fringe & Friends brings NYC style to PDX. For a world class spa experience, Löyly and Blue Sky Wellness offer luxurious and relaxing opportunities.

The Boise-Eliot neighborhood offers designer cocktails, sophisticated wine bars, and handcrafted beer for unmatchable happy hour options. North Williams even boasts “one of the best dive bars in Portland.” Grab a friend and visit some of these noteworthy establishments: Shine Distillery, The Box Social, Hopworks Urban Brewery, Maui’s, and Either/Or, among many others.

I’ve now enjoyed living at Carbon12 for a year, and am most thrilled with the community and neighborhood amenities. I absolutely love being able to walk to many of the city’s best restaurants, shops, yoga, grocery stores, and parks. I am also able to run all my daily errands on foot and rarely use my car. The overall feeling is energetic, current, and youthful, and being a part of the community has greatly enhanced my lifestyle.
