urban. vibrant. coveted.

Welcome to the Boise-Eliot neighborhood — described as a place where “everyone is busy doing something interesting”. If you want to live steps from some of the city’s most highly rated food, popular bars, charming boutiques, and health and fitness hot spots, this is the place to be. Carbon12 sits along Portland’s most well-traveled bike corridor, and is right across the street from New Seasons. Centrally located and self sustaining, Boise-Eliot embodies the creative and entrepreneurial energy associated with the City of Portland.

Fine dining

The Boise-Eliot neighborhood offers a wealth of incredible food choices — from award-winning restaurants to delicate bowls of ramen to excellent street carts. You could pass a whole day wandering N. Williams and Mississippi Avenues, discovering endless tasty treats. With trendy destinations like Eem, Quaintrelle, Por Que No, Grand Central Bakery and Smallwares, some of Portland’s best food is right out your door.

The Hackney borough, of which Dalston belongs, has it all—from bespoke boutiques that feature independent designers to thrift stores and craft fairs full of one-of-a-kind finds. This is where rising fashion stars like Mara Bond got their start, taking inspiration from the dynamic culture of East London. No matter what store you go to, you’ll find products that you couldn’t get anywhere else.

World class bars

Dalston nightlife is top-notch. You can watch the latest game while you enjoy UK staples like Nameless Beer, Demo Ale, and Filler Stout. Or try some small-batch beers crafted by local breweries. If cocktails are your preferred poison, trendy mixology establishments, complete with plush couches and date night lighting, are peppered throughout East London. Shine Distillery, The Box Social,

Health and beauty

Whether you’re looking for an intimate jazz club, large music hall experience, disco with a killer DJ, or eclectic music festival, Dalston has it. Some of the most fun and innovative bands, artists, and musicians flock to our district for its creative energy and diverse music scene. Take the opportunity to experience it all up close and personal. We promise you won’t regret it.

I’ve now enjoyed living at Carbon12 for a year, and am most thrilled with the community and neighborhood amenities. I absolutely love being able to walk to many of the city’s best restaurants, shops, yoga, grocery stores, and parks. I am also able to run all my daily errands on foot and rarely use my car. The overall feeling is energetic, current, and youthful, and being a part of the community has greatly enhanced my lifestyle.
